What were you up to before DataKind?
Most recently, I was a Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager at a consultancy firm, providing monitoring and data services to projects in complex contexts. Before that, I worked as a consultant at UNICEF on gender and humanitarian programs. I developed data, monitoring, and evaluation toolkits to support the use of data and evidence to inform program design, implementation and learning. My main thematic interests have cut across gender equality, community engagement, and humanitarian issues, including gender equity in frontline health systems, gender-based violence, adolescent girls’ empowerment, and forced displacement.
Why are you excited to join DataKind?
Coming from a career in international development, I’m inspired by how DataKind innovatively leverages its role at the intersection of the social and tech sectors. I look forward to contributing to DataKind’s work of integrating data-driven approaches into projects that address social sector issues and expanding the use of digital technologies, all while collaborating with committed and passionate experts across the DataKind community. I’m excited to join the DataKind community and jointly advance the organization’s mission, values, and global impact.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy traveling to new places, whether they’re in my neighborhood or a different country. I’ll usually have either my camera, bike, or notebook with me. Indoors, I’ll either be at a dance class, trying out a new recipe, or reading in my expanding indoor garden.
