Next year DataKind will celebrate our 10-year anniversary, and we couldn’t be more excited to share what the DataKind community has accomplished in that time and our vision for the future. This is a major milestone for us as we continue to deepen the use of data science, machine learning, and AI to build a future focused on equity and positive impact across the world. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make a decade of using Data Science and AI for Good possible, particularly our very special partners at Teradata!
Looking ahead to 2022, the Teradata team has gone above and beyond in its decade-long support of DataKind. Today, we’re delighted to announce that Teradata will match all donations to DataKind through the end of the year, up to $25,000. We need your help to meet our goal so DataKind can work with more social impact organizations keen to leverage AI to advance their mission-driven work!
So, what does this mean? As we kick off our 10th year, every donation made to DataKind between November 1 and December 31, 2021 will be matched by the generous folks at Teradata, up to $25,000, doubling your impact. This is the first-ever matching donation program at DataKind, and we’re ready to rally our community to help ensure we can continue our work for another decade and more!
Teradata Cares, and their focus on Doing Good With DataTM, dovetails perfectly with DataKind’s mission to harness the power of data science and AI in the service of humanity—and it has for 10 consecutive years! With Teradata’s partnership in each year of our existence, we’ve been able to support so many communities, and, with their continued commitment, we know we’ll be able to advance critical work in the year to come. Teradata and DataKind have already successfully completed projects ranging from helping Crisis Text Line better triage nuanced crisis-based text conversations to giving human rights activists an easy way to ensure that European Court of Human Rights judgments in key countries were indeed being implemented. Together, DataKind and Teradata are achieving tangible and meaningful change in the areas that need it most around the globe.
